Independent Living Support Services

Program Description:
The Independent Living Support Services
division of the residential services department is a multifaceted
program that designs highly individualized supported living arrangements
for individuals with disabilities. Supports range from a few hours per
week to 24/7 support to individuals in their own apartments. Creative
programming to maximize funding include shared rents, community training
homes, and live-in companions. Referrals are accepted
through the Department of Mental Retardation, Department of Social
Services, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Department
of Children and Family Services, and
private individuals. Funding for the individualized supports is through
contract with the aforementioned agencies, Acquired Brain Injury Waiver,
Individual Support Agreements (ISA), and Individual Family Support
Waiver (IFS).
