CLINTON - Soon-to-be resident Grafton Riddick smiled as he cut the ribbon Thursday evening in front of Marrakech Inc.'s new facility at 5 Harbor Parkway.

We Have a Green Thumb
This past summer Marrakech consumers had a unique opportunity to learn and participate in organic gardening. With the support of the Massaro Community Farm in Woodbridge a small plot of land was provided to Marrakech to farm.
Consumers from many program areas of Marrakech participated in planting, weeding, watering and harvesting. They grew tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, and pumpkins. The produce was distributed to our Taking Initiative Center, Group Homes, Academy for Human Service Training Program, Work Learn Program and Young Adult Services residents. The participants are already planning on a larger garden and expanding the variety of vegetables next year.
