Evening Fun & Learning

Marrakech is dedicated to providing opportunities for the people it serves to access recreational and fitness activities, to learn new hobbies or skills, to make friends and to participate fully in community life. To this end, Quality of Life Services staff coordinates a monthly calendar of events filled with fun and learning opportunities.

Groups for Growth and Change

Groups are developed to assist people in achieving their personal goals. They include:

• Women’s Trauma Group
• Men’s Supper Club
• Self-Advocacy Group

Community Outings

Field Trips Trips, Picnics, Shopping and Sightseeing - Community trips are scheduled to area beaches, amusement parks, picnic sites, museums, and outlet malls. Dances

Open to everyone affiliated with Marrakech, dances are held at a Marrakech sites and in the community. The dances are held each season with a full dance floor and DJ. These dances are planned to reflect fun and exciting themes like:

• “Love is in the Air”
• “Mardi Gras in May”
• “Black and White Ball”
• “Under the Stars Prom”

Social and recreational activities are open to all Marrakech consumers. Individuals not currently served by Marrakech may also sign up for activities. Nominal fees apply in order to defray the costs of each activity. Field trip prices will vary depending on the actual cost of the activity, event, etc. Individual activity locations vary.
