CFI – Child, Family and Individual ServicesThe Child, Family, and Individual Services department consists of an array of services designed to promote the highest level of independence and self-sufficiency for children, families and individuals. The services range from providing respite programs for children to occupational skills training programs and intensive case management programs for adults. Programs included in this department are as follows:Academy for Human Service Training (AHST) – An occupational skills training program that prepares individuals 18 years of age or older for careers in the human service field. Assessment, Placement, and Job Supports – A program designed to assist individuals typically referred from BRS or BESB in finding jobs that meet their interests and skill levels. Board of Education and Services for the Blind (BESB) Contract Services and Artisans Boutique – A vocational program designed to provide work opportunities for individuals with blindness or visual impairments. The Artisans make a variety of handmade goods for all occasions. Children and Youth Services – A variety of programs and services are offered here including respite services, functional respite, independent living skills, school to adult transition services, case management services and vocational support.
