Shared Living

Shared Living opens doors to a truly personalized residential option, empowering individuals funded by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to pay a caregiver and choose their ideal living arrangement. This might mean residing in their own home or apartment, or, in certain cases, the caregiver's home.

With compassion at the core, our Life Sharers are carefully selected caregivers who provide invaluable support, sharing daily living responsibilities and expenses with the person they support. Through a carefully crafted Shared Living Agreement of Services, individualized support is outlined, fostering an environment where skills are developed, ADLs, IADLs, social activities, and personal enrichment are nurtured.

We believe that shared living should embrace the fullness of family and community life. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where learning thrives, independence blossoms, and meaningful connections are forged.

Note: The Life Sharer cannot be a legally responsible family member or legal guardian of the individual.
