Training & Development Services

Marrakech has been providing quality training to our employees since 1971.

Our classes and documentation meet DDS training requirements, ICF/ID regulations, CARF Standards as well as some other mandated training requirements.

The Training & Staff Development Department at Marrakech offers courses designed for the human service field to employers, schools, and education centers that wish to provide such training to their employees and students. Some of these courses are mandatory by funders and some are not required, however, are considered best practices.

Besides basic entry-level training, Marrakech provides management training to assist with staff development.

We offer the following forums for classes:

1. Live Event/ Instructor-Led Courses:

  • Our courses may be offered in person at a Marrakech Training Site (6 Lunar Drive in Woodbridge, 450 Island Lane in West Haven, 4695 Main Street in Bridgeport, or 2457 East Main Street in Waterbury).
    • These classes may also be attended by Marrakech Employees, Academy Students, or other training customers.
    • All of the above training sites are fully accessible.
  • Our courses will also be offered in our Relias Virtual Classroom.
    • Learners will be provided with a Relias user account and a Relias User Guide. A member from the Training Department will also be available to assist new users with navigating the Relias system.
  • Location of your choosing:
    • Our courses may be held in person at your site for an increased rate and travel expenses.

2. Self-Directed Courses:

  • Our self-directed courses will be made available to learners in our Relias Learning Management system.
    • Learners will be provided with a Relias user account and a Relias User Guide. A member from the Training Department will also be available to assist new users with navigating the Relias system.

All successfully completed Marrakech Trainings come with a certificate of completion (accepted by DDS). Some courses require students to take and pass an exam for the training to be deemed complete. A passing score is 70 or better.

Marrakech also assists agencies in developing their training departments by offering the following opportunities:

1. Train the Trainer classes

2. Customizing our training materials to meet your agency’s needs

3. Assisting in developing training policies and procedures

4. Consultation in navigating the systems of training requirements, such as DDS Medication Certification and re-certification processes, complying with new training mandates such as Sexual Harassment Prevention for all employees, etc.
